Native American Carved Wood Figure by Wilfred Tewawina – This is a very interesting item.  It took first prize in the Gallup, New Mexico, Inter-tribal Indian Ceremony in 1970.  It comes with the ribbon and is signed on the bottom.  The writing on the rear of the ribbon matches name on bottom of figure.  It is constructed of what we believe it to be wood.  It is very light.  But, the grain can be seen and bare wood around the finger and the nose area.  It has a little scuff on the shoulder. it stands just over 16″ tall and comes in vintage oak and glass case.  This is a very nice piece of art!  You are buying it as you see it how you see it.  If you want to preview of get some more images let us know by email or phone call.  937-847-8300.  In our research of the artist we have found a couple of pieces made of cottonwood.  We are going to assume this is cottonwood and is very light for size.  Again, you are buying it as you see it, how you see it.
